Introduction
Enterprise Voice is a standalone Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service provided by Lync Server that can be used to supplement or take the place of conventional private branch exchange (PBX) systems. Users of Enterprise Voice can make traditional phone calls to numbers outside of your company as well as to coworkers on your company’s VoIP network or PBX. The Enterprise Voice solution incorporates enhanced 9-1-1 (E9-1-1) calling in addition to standard calling functionality including answer, forward, transfer, hold, redirect, release, and park (E9-1-1 is available only in the United States.) Additionally, a wide variety of recent and vintage IP and USB devices are supported by Enterprise Voice.
